A small competitor to Mountain Home’s Evans Theatre and Baxter Theatre, it was on the west side of the town square. Opened March 4, 1948 with 370 seats in the orchestra and 93 seats in the balcony and operated by the Morgan family, owners of the drug store next door. Operated by them for a short while, then Commonwealth Amusement Co. took over and it lasted only into the mid-1950’s. Was remodeled for retail use, then sat vacant, and was demolished in 1998.

The Morgan Theatre was on the northwest corner of S. Main and W. 7th Street. The site is now part of a public plaza.
