The Alamo Drafthouse Lake Highlands in Dallas opened with a soft launch on March 20, 2018 and with its official grand opening on March 28, 2018 with “Ready Player One”. The 8-screen theatre was carved into a former Tom Thumb grocery store. Auditoriums ranged from 31 to 196 seats serving food and alcohol in addition to traditional snack bar fare. Equipment included Sony 4k Digital Cinema Laser Phosphor Projectors. Its bar, the Vetted Well, featured a patio with direct access to the adjoining White Rock Trail bike path.
It was closed on June 5, 2024. It was reopened by Alamo Drafthouse on August 13, 2024.

Great venue!
The Alamo Drafthouse Lake Highlands closed along with the circuit’s other locations on March 16, 2020 due to COVID-19. It reopened on August 18, 2020 only to close again October 6, 2020. It reopened a little more than 10 months later on August 13, 2021.
Two is One, One is None, LLC has closed all six franchised Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas that it (and its affiliates) operated, and have filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 7 liquidation bankruptcy. June 5, 2024 was this location’s last day.
Reopened under Alamo Drafthouse operation on August 13, 2024.
