Trak Cinema

Located in the Toorak Gardens district to the east of the city centre. The Trak Cinema opened in 1969 as a 200-seat, single screen art-house cinema screening European films. It operated as a triple screen cinema screening Independent, foreign and some first run mainstream films and was equipped with 35mm and digital projection. The Trak Cinema was operated by Republic Theatres. In January 2019 it was ‘closed for refurbishment’. It was taken over by new operators and re-opened in March 2019. It was closed on 2nd January 2021. It is possibly going to be converted into a fitness centre.
