Palace Theatre

Located on Sneinton Road at the corner of West Street & Bond Street. The Sneinton Picture Palace opened Wednesday 7th May 1913. Owned by E. Widdowson, managed by A. V. Alton. Continuous, two changes weekly, prices, 6d. to 1s. 3d. In Mid-May 1931 it was equipped with a Picturetone sound system. Closed Thursday November 30th 1939, possibly due to war-time conditions.

It re-opened as the Palace Theatre Monday 11th March 1940. Continuous performance, Prices 4d. to 9d. Later played Monday to Thursday only, once nightly. Closed Thursday 20th December 1945.
