Built by Henry Schol, owner of Souris' indoor Avalon Theater, the Lucky Star Drive-In was located 1 mile east of town on Highway 2 and opened in 1968. It had a 74x34' screen, a 300-car capacity and a modern concession stand. Architect was H. MacDonald of Winnipeg. Equipment was by Strong, Wenzel, Ashcraft, Goldberg, Ballantyne and EPRAD.
