Bangkok Screening Room or BKKSR is a new 52 seat alternative screening room located in a creative Woof Pack building on Soi Saladaeng 1 in Bangkok. It was opened on 22nd September 2016. The screening room is equipped with a high-end 4K digital projector, professional surround sound, and a bar with cutting edge design aesthetic.
BKKSR is Bangkok’s first alternative screening room to support independent films, pave the way for emerging filmmakers, and being a platform to promote cultural contents.
Presenting a vibrant program of independent film and documentaries, retrospective classics, and targeted niche film titles, the BKKSR is a hub for film enthusiasts and fans of international films.
The Bangkok Screening Room became a casualty of the Covid-19 pandemic and was closed on 31st March 2021 with Orson Welles in “The Third Man”.
