The Palace Theatre opened in April, 1908, advertising moving pictures and illustrated songs. The house was still in operation as late as 1914. Vaudeville were sometimes featured as well. The building the Palace Theatre occupied was later demolished to make way for the Hotel Bothwell, built in 1926.
