The State Theatre was opened by 1927. It showed its first ‘talkie’ on November 4, 1929. It was still open in 1957. As of 2017, it was the north half of a fitness center. I think this makes it the deep building in the middle of the block on the east side between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue.
