The Fairview Drive-In originally opened in 1953, and could accommodate 250 cars. After briefly closing, the drive-in was reopened in 1993 under new ownership, which has done a lot to bring the aging drive-in up to speed. It was completely remodeled in 2002, including a new screen and concession area. The Fairview Drive-In’s season runs from April to September.
It was purchased by new owners in June 2015 and was renamed Drive ‘n Theatre.

This drive-in is no longer listed under the Earlann Theatres website. It is now privately owned with no webssite.

In a March 27, 1954 article about the area drive-ins that had reopened for the season, BoxOffice mentioned that the Fairview was owned by C. B. Simmons, Cisne.
Motion Picture Exhibitor, March 28, 1962: “The Fairview Drive-In, Newton, Ill., has been sold by C. B. Simmons to Joe Hasler and Lamar Kinder.”
