Cine Fontana

Located in the Gracia district in the north of ther city centre. The Estudio Cirera was opened in 1919. In 1923 it was re-named Cine Trilla. It became the Cine Selecto on 15th February 1925.

In 1979 it was taken over by the Cinesa chain and after a remodel it was re-named Cine Fortuna, re-opening on 19th May 1980 with Kirk Douglas in “Saturn 3”. It was closed on 20th March 1988 with Jeff Daniels in “Something Wild”. It has since been demolished to build an apartment block on the site.
