Located one mile west of town on the south side of US Highway 62. The Chief Drive-In was opened on November 1, 1951 with Mona Freeman in “Dear Brat”. It was operated by Simpson Nelson & Ray Leathers. It was closed on October 29, 1956 with Linda Darnell in “Dakota Incident”
The screen stood for a few years until it was town down in March 1960. The concession/projection building was made into someone’s home, but it has since been abandoned and grown up with weeds and trees around it.
