Mount Dora with Epic XL

Epic Theatres opened a 10th location in Mount Dora on May 4, 2018.

Designed by TK Architects with 12 screens and 1,435 recliners, the two largest auditoriums, with two 70-feet-wide screens, seat 300 each.

In 2004 Frank DeMarsh founded Epic Theatres, which was previously named Theatres Management, Inc., formed in 1983. The DeMarsh family’s involvement in the theater business goes back to after World War II. Then his father and grandfather operated a location in Grove City, PA., which led to others in Ohio, West Virginia, and North and South Carolina.

On Labor Day weekend 2018 it will be the new home of the Central Florida Film Festival, now in its 13th year.
