The Electric Dusk Drive-In was opened in late-2012 at 240 W. 4th Street, but later moved to this address, located at Van De Kamp Bakery Building. Possibly uses an inflated screen? Seats(number of unknown?) at front, and cars(number of unknown?) parked behind the seated area. It screens movies from the 1980’s, 1990’s, 2000’s, and 2010’s(including current releases). Appeared on a episode of Storage Wars(The Donut Effect).
By 2021 it has been relocated to 236 N. Central Avenue, Glendale, CA and has a page on Cinema Treasures for that location.

This rather pricey (cheapest ticket bought in advance is twelve bucks to sit on the astroturf, parking not included) outdoor venue, located on a community college campus, has an official web site with a schedule and information about the pricey prices. They don’t say how much the snacks cost, but my guess would be… pricey.
Why go to a fake drive-in when there’s one off the 105 & Paramount Blvd. and another off the 605 & Valley Blvd?
Ah, but this is a hipster drive-in, so attending it is ironic. Going to Puente or Paramount would evoke the wrong kind of irony. Plus out there they might see someone getting pregnant in a back seat, which would remind them of their grandparents conceiving their parents. ((shudder))
The first newspaper clipping I could find for the Electric Dusk was in January 2013, when it was at 240 W. 4th St. Its web domain appears to have first activated in late 2012, so somewhere around there would be its opening date.
LOL @ Joe. Having attended both of those D/I’s regularly, you’re prone to see more SUV’s, Flat bed trucks and minivans with kiddos running around them than any Passion Pit behavior!
The current Electric Dusk web site says its address is now 236 N. Central Ave, Glendale CA 91203.
Conforming to CT’s current style, that would mean that a “new” drive-in page should be created in Glendale, and that this page in Los Angeles should remain as “closed”. Which may be another argument in favor of changing CT’s style.
