Wick Theatre

The Wick Theatre opened on March 20, 1940 with Priscilla Lane in “Brother Rat and a Baby”. It was operated by the Stout Theater chain. A news article indicates that construction work was being completed in the Harkness Building on 4th Street. The article indicates that with the opening of the theatre, patrons will have the opportunity to “attend a local show for the first time in many years”. The Wick Theatre was closed screening its last movie: Johnny Weissmuller in “Killer Ape” on December 18, 1956 and finally closed on December 21, 1956 with a Christmas show.

In 2024 the building is used by Community Services as office space.
