The Ravenna 7 Movies, following a VIP event on August 23, 2018, opened for movies on August 24.
Operated by Neighborhood Development Services (NDS), the theater is equipped with NEC digital projectors, Dolby digital servers, 7.1 digital audio, and Real D 3D.
The Akron Beacon-Journal notes the $4.6 million building was constructed on the site of a razed tire shop. Mayor Frank Seman said financing was arranged by NDS, the city, Portage County, and state government.
Seating 80 to 240 in each stadium, the front rows feature power recliners while the others are rocker recliners.
