Del Rio Theatre

The Peter Pan Theatre launched in 1936 in the remodeled, 30-year old Trask Building in downtown Cloverdale. The theatre was sold quickly to Roy Palmer who changed name to the Del Rio Theatre. The 200-seat theatre was the “A” house in town until the Blairs bought it in 1949.

The Blairs would establish a much better movie house called the Blair Theatre. The Del Rio Theatre became the second-run house and, finally, from June 1953 a Spanish language movie house until 1956 and the end of its 20-year lease cycle. The building was converted to other uses in 1956 becoming a bar. In July of 1985, the theatre was bulldozed
