A closer address is 3401 I-20, Stanton, TX.

Google Maps has updated their addresses and this puts it right on the property.

A 1957 aerial shows the drive-in intact, but appearing closed as some of the ramps are overgrown with vegetation. By 1965, it had been totally demolished and all traces removed.

Today, the southern half of the property has the I-20 Frontage Road running through it while the northern half is home to Cook Water Station.

Appears to have launched March 7, 1952 with “Fort Osage” and “Ghost Chasers” supported by cartoons.

There were two drive-ins theatres in Stanton,TX

The Buffalo DI was located at TX-137 & Co Rd 2300, Stanton, TX

The Ford DI was located under I-20 & TX-137

By 1965 both DI’s were gone.
