The Lyric Theater was opened and built for photoplay and illustrated songs. It was launched by Richard C. Paramenter and Roy Uhl on May 22, 1909 on Main Street with 250 seats with Louise Dillard as its in-house vocalist. The short-lived theatre ceased operations on January 29, 1910. Paranmeter opened a clothing store there the next month.
