Helder

Located in the Grand Boulevards district near to the Paris Opera, and adjacent to the current UGC Opera cinema. Operated by Union Generale Cinematographique, the Helder was opened on 9th April 1936 with Lily Pons in “Griseries” (“I Dream Too Much”). Seating was provided in orchestra and balcony levels. It was still open in 1975, but had closed by 1985. The building was gutted internally and has been converted into a McDonalds restaurant.
