The Sundown Drive-In in Burns, OR. was opened by 1953 when it was operated by Coombs & Racine. It has since been demolished. The Glory Day’s Pizza is now on the site with no trace of the drive-in remaining. We are also very lucky as although the oldest aerial is from 1994 we have a 1977 aerial that has been put in the Topo map section by mistake.

The Exhibitor, Aug. 20, 1952: “Mr. and Mrs. A. Combs and Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Racine, owners, Desert and Ideal, Burns, Ore., announced the purchase from Roe Davis of a drive-in site on the west side of the highway between Burns and Hines, Ore., upon which a 300-car open-airer will be constructed. The spot will be known as the Sundown Drive-In.”
A 1982 aerial shows the drive-in intact. Whether it was open or not I do not know.
