Caribbean Cinemas St. Croix

Caribbean Cinemas opened March 10, 2017, as a replacement for the old Sunny Isle Shopping Center theater. With eight screens, the cinema has 3D, high definition surround sound and one auditorium with their large format CXC (Caribbean Cinemas Extreme) screen.

According to The St. Croix Source, Victor Carrady founded Caribbean Cinemas in 1968 in Puerto Rico and in 1977 was joined by his son, current CEO, Robert Carrady. By 2019 Caribbean Cinemas had 31 locations in Puerto Rico and theaters in 12 other countries.

Managing the new theater is Donna Browne, daughter of the late David Browne, owner of the original theater at Sunny Isle. Other amenities in the 1,230-seat cinema are two party rooms, arcade, and cafe.
