Glade Drive-In

D.B. Harrell and D.B. Ferguson launched the Glade Drive-In on September 12, 1953 with Alan Ladd in “Red Mountain”. After just one season, the theatre was sold to Bill Hardy and O.L. Lowery of H&H Amusement Circuit who widened the screen for CinemaScope when it reopened in 1955. New operators made improvements launching in 1956.

Based on the photo, a closer address is 2000 E Broadway Ave, Gladewater, TX. The actual entrance (and exit) of the drive-in appears to be on an unnamed road.

Today, the entire property is overgrown with trees. There is no trace of the drive-in visible.
