In mid-1958, the Astra Cinema opened at the camp of Raf Little Sai Wan. Raf Little Sai Wan was a signals intelligence station in the Siu Sai Wan district of the Hong Kong Island, and its occupant was 367 Signals Unit. Between 1953 and 1958, Ref Little Sai Wan was developed as a fully integrated operational and residential site, with all the facilities of a non-flying RAF camp. A May 1960 programme sheet showed that different films were shown every evening. In 1982, the camp was decommissioned and consolidated at Chung Hom Kok on the southern side of the Hong Kong Island. The cinema was probably closed in the same year. Its exact opening and closing date is pending further research.
The camp has been demolished and rebuilt as a housing estate.
