Located in the city centre. The Cine Metropolitan was opened on 17th January 1957 with Clifton Webb in “The Man Who Never Was”. Seating was provided for 2,223 in the orchestra and 1,262 in the balcony.
The Cine Metropolian was still open in 1996, but closed soon after. The empty building became a target for vandals, despite security guards on duty. It was still standing empty in 2002, but has since been demolished and in October 2017 the site is an empty plot of land, with only a lower part of the right-hand side-wall still standing along Calle Prisicliano Sanchez.
