Montehiedra Cinemas

Montehiedra Cinemas reopened on June 9, 2016, concluding a $6 million renovation that began the previous February. Now with 13 screens seating 1,900, the cinemas originally opened in 1996 with 14 screens.

By raising the roof 22 feet two auditoriums were created from one. This resulted in a 46x80-foot IMAX, which seats 400. The theater also has Caribbean Cinema’s proprietary 30x50-feet CXC screen seating 100, and a 4DX auditorium.

Fernando Rojas of Interdesign Architects was retained for the project, which renovated the restrooms and lobby and added a café, party rooms, and game room.

The cinema offers American movies in English with Spanish language subtitles.
