This 3 screen theater opened in 1975 along with the rest of the strip center that would be known as Berkshire Mall West. It was across the street from the Berkshire Mall at the northernmost end of the strip. In 1982 Fox Theaters, a Reading-based chain of movie theaters, bought this theater along with the larger one screen theater inside the Berkshire Mall from United Artists theater circuit. Fox closed the mall theater, and renamed the 3 screen west theater as Fox Berkshire. This theater would continue to operate until late-1993 when Fox built a larger, more modern 8 screen cinema on Papermill Road.
Old Country Buffet occupied the building for nearly 20 years, but since they’ve gone out of business it now sits vacant.
