The Skyvue Drive-In was located one mile west of town on the north side of the road. It opened on April 21, 1950 with Shirley Temple in “The Story of Seabiscuit”. It was operated by Frontier Theaters and Video Theaters. It was closed in the summer of 1956 and had been demolished by 1961.

I believe I found it.
The address is 1917 North 1st Street, Haskell, TX.
A 1965 aerial shows a faint outline of a drive-in, so if this was it, the drive-in was totally demolished by that time.
Today, you can still barely see a faint outline of the drive-in.

I don’t see what you see at that location. I see a lot of wavy lines that look a lot like drive-in theater ramps but they’re all over the place must be some type of crop or its wind blown sand or dirt. Makes it hard to locate a drive-in theater.
It’s there.
The 1965 aerial shows a clearer outline. Go to NETRonline and type in the address or put in Haskell, TX and you can see it better.
As you can see by the aerial photo above, the drive-in was north of the Y intersection where US 380 bends northwest but County Road 426 continues due west.
The Haskell Free Press announced the opening of the newest and most modern Drive-in Theatres in this section, “The Sky-Vue”. located one mile west of Haskell on the Rule Highway. The Drive-in was built by the Childress Theatre Interests. There was space for 350 cars with a 42x49 foot screen. Opening night was April 21, 1950, with the movie “Story of Seabiscuit”. The Sky-Vue Theatre closed in the summer of 1956. The manager reminded everyone not to become addicted to their TV set, but to go out and see a movie once a week.
