The New Theatre was opened on July 17, 1936 with Jack Holt in “Dangerous Waters”. By 1941 it was operated by Paramount Pictures Inc. through their subsidiary Wilby-Kincey. It was closed in 1954 and converted into a grocery store in 1955.
