Opened on 29th August 1956 and closed in the early-1970’s. The site is now Morwell Sunday Market(swap meet). The site is intact(except maybe the screen?). A few more buildings have been built on the ramps.

Opened with a invite only audience on 29th August 1956. The public opening was on 30th August 1956.
Closed in 1974.
“Intact” is a pretty strong word to use for this site. The ramps remain and perhaps the concession stand/projector booth. Although a 2015 Google Street View makes it difficult to tell.
Most of the property is now a flea market with buildings dotting the site. The area where the screen once stood is now a private residence.
The fences and and entrance gates(and exit gates?) are still there too. The speaker posts, speakers(and ticket booth?) are all gone I think? The concession stand/projector booth is still there. There is also(still there) in old drive-in theatre, a mysterious circular track/road behind the ramps(inside bthe drive-in theatre grounds and fences), what was it used for?
I think the extra buildings on the ramps are used by the Sunday trash and treasure(swap meet).
