Pathé Spreitenbach

Considered a new concept in Switzerland, the “VIP Bedroom Cinema" is located in Pathé Spreitenbach, which opened May 9, 2019. The room, built on descending levels, has 11 freshly made double beds with electronic headrests. Another auditorium has double sofas, which look like sumptuously upholstered chaise lounges.

Venanzio Di Bacco, CEO of Pathé Switzerland said the beds are changed after each use. “The hygiene aspect is very important to us.” As far as any inappropriate behavior, he said the concept was tested abroad with no problems.

Overall the cinema has 11 screens, 1,322 seats, a 350-seat IMAX Laser, and Dolby 3D. Films are screened in Albanian, German, Russian and English with subtitles. Included is a children’s cinema with beanbags and a tubular slide descending from the top of the auditorium.

Pathe has been doing business in Europe since 1896 and in Switzerland it is located in eight cities with 79 screens.
