Located at the Circle on Route 9. R.J. Funkhouser launched the Charles Washington Theatre in Ranson, WV on August 5, 1949 with Steward Granger in “Blanche Fury” along with Fox Movietone News and a cartoon. The theatre got around a law banning Sunday operation by donating all profits to charity. The theatre was still operating in the late-1970’s.
