Opened in 1908 with 200 seats, operated by James A. Sturges. It initially presented vaudeville. The Gem Theatre was still open as a movie theatre in 1928, but had closed by 1929. Later, the building was used as retail. In 2019 it is Chaplin’s Premier Listening Room, a recording studio and ‘open mic’ venue.
