Located in the Neustadt district of the city centre. The Reform Theater was opened in 1909 in the Klett Gesellschaftshaus & Gesellschaftsgarten. The Reform Theater was luxurious and was equipped with a stage and a yellow silk curtain. The interior was painted green, white & gold and contained ruby red windows in the ceiling. Stage actors recitiered live the text of the movie. The tickets were expensive from 30 to 75 Pfennige. The Reform Theatrer was part of the Emelka Konzern cinema chain, who also operated the Emelka Konzern, the Kammer Lichtspiele, the Passage Theater Monkebergstrasse and the Reform Theatre (which have theit own pages on Cinema Treasures).
The theater was operated in 1911 by Finkels & Tand, in 1930 by Kommerzzienrat Ludwig Scheer Munich and in 1931 a Tobis sound system was installed. In 1937 it was operated by Walter Hennings.
The Reform Theater was destroyed by Allies bombs during Wotld War II and it never re-opened.
