Located in the Altona district to the west of Hamburg. The Neue Caserne Barracks were built from 1878 to 1883. It was later re-named Victoria Kaserne Barracks. After World War II it was the home of a police station. The police operated a cinema named Polizei Filmstelle Altona built in 1948 and opened in 1949 with 200-seats. The operating manager was Meisterpolozist Walter Oelberg. The projectors were by Erneman II & IV and the sound system was a Lorenz 25 watt. The Polizei Filmstelle Altona was closed in 1955 and was later demolished.
Since March 2019 the Victoria Kaserne has contained a small cinema named Fux Lichtspiele. (It has its own page on Cinema Treasures).
