Located in the district of Hamm Nord in the east of the city. The Roxy Hamm was opened in 1957 and was part of the cinema chain of leltheda Iderhoff, who also operated the Stern Lichtspiel, Roxy Eppenforf, Roxy Barmbek, and Roxy Eimsbuttel(all have their own pages on Cinema Treasures). The architect was Franz Josef Wegner. The cinema had air conditioning. The 735 seats were manufactured by Kamphoner. In 1958 it was equipped with CinemaScope, the projectors were by Bauer B 14 and it had a Klangfilm sound system. The Roxy Hamm was closed in 1964 with Audrey Hepburn starring in “Charade”.
The former cinema is now in use as a pharmacy.
