Located in the north of city district of Barmbek, close to Barmbek Railway Station. The Drosselhof Lichtspiele was opened in 1954 and was operated by Hugo & Henk. It was designed by architect Otto Schneider and the foyer was planned by Gustav Tolle. The opening film was the comedy “Mutter sien dagegen srhr” (Its Hard to be mother" disrected by Victor Tourjansky and starring Isle Werner & Paul Klinger. The E IX projectors were by Ernemann and the sound system was by Zeiss Ikon. In 1956 it was equipped with CinemaScope.
The Drosselhof Lichtspiele was closed in 1964. In 2010 it was a Penny Markt supermarket.
