On September 12, 1936, the Arizona Republic announced the reopening of the remodeled Valley Theatre, which had been closed for several years. The theatre was under the management of Rowena Theatres at Chandler, J.H. Woods in charge. M.H. Record was to manage with Forest F. Clare, Jr. as machine operator.
As advertised in the Arizona Republic, the reopening attraction was William Boyd in “Heart Of The West”, but by summer 1937 the theatre was again out of the listings
Sanborn Maps place a theatre at this location as far back as 1923 and Film Daily Year Book 1937 lists the Valley Theatre with 250 seats.
The building and surrounding structures was demolished 2019.
