Located in the northeast Berlin district of Prenzlauer Berg. The Walhalla (live) Theatre at Weinberg 28-20 was close to the Union Theater, but it was in a different building. The Union Theater Lichtspiele was not part of the Walhalla Theater.
The 1,700-seat Union Theater Lichtspiele was opened in 1913 and was operated by Pagu. In 1918 it was operated by Union Theater Lichtspiele GmbH and the seating capacity was reduced to 1,460. In 1924 it was re-named Ufa Theater Weinberg. In 1928 it was operated by Ufa Theater Betriebs GmbH and the seating capacity was further reduced to 1,424. In 1930 it was equipped with a Klangfilm sound system. The cinema was closed in 1945, probably due to war-time conditions. It may have re-opened after the end of World War II and into 1948, but this has not been confirmed. It has since been demolished and the site is now a park.
