Located in the centre district of Vettel-Wilhelmsburg. The Georgswerder Lichtspiele was opened on 29th September 1944 in the ballroom of a restaurant and was operated by Busching. In front of the screen was a stage 7x3 metres. The projectors were by Cinemeccanica. In 1955 the cinema was operated by Guenther Regar. In 1956 it was equipped with CinemaScope and a Telfunken sound system was installed. The seats were by Schroeder & Henzelmann. The cinema was closed in 1961.
In 1991 the building was renovated and is now in use as a wedding ballroom & banquet hall named Ege Palas.
