Located in the Galt community. Designed by Toronto based architect Harold Solomon Kaplan, the Palace Theatre was opened in 1939. It was closed in 1959.

The site is today the right hand portion of the Cornerstone Home Interior building.

Almost as tall as the Gore building’s nearby towers, the 1939 Palace Theatre sign came down in 1959, and the Main Street site soon became a Woolco department store. – Late 1940s Photogelatine Company postcard from Al Findlay collection.
