Located in the Wandsbek district of Eilbek in the east of the city centre. Built on the site of the Regina Lightspiele which was destroyed in World War II (and has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The Eilbek Lichtspiele was opened on 22nd August 1950.
It was re-modeled in 1952 to the plans of architects Ruebke & Freshmann & Rudolf Bush and was re-named Die Kogge Eilbek, operated by Berliner Polygon Lichtspiele Betriebe Schoenstedt & Co, KG Berlin Wilmersdorf. The seats were by Tepper. The projectors were by Ernemann. It was programmed as an art-house cinema and was closed in 1963 and has since been demolished and office space has been built on the site.
