Replacing an earlier Jackson Theatre. This Jackson Theatre was opened by Locke Bolen in 1935. It was destroyed by fire on August 29, 1959.
Only the four walls were left standing, and they were used to build the Locke Theatre which opened on June 23, 1960. (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures)
