Located in the centre district of Hamm Nord at Mittel Strasse 17 (in 1950 re-named Carl Petersen Strasse). The Hammer Lichtspiele was opened in 1912 and was operated by E. Juergens. In 1920 it was operated by Ludwig Katzenstein. In 1921 it was listed as the Olympia Lichtspiele operated by the brothers Lebtag. In 1925 it was listed as the Metropol Lichtspiele operated by Otto Seefeld and in 1927 W. Wullending was the operator.
A sound system was installed in 1934 and the cinema was renamed again to Odeum Lichtspiele operated by Friedrich Meyer. In 1937 it was listed as the Korso Lichtspiele, its final name, and was operated by August Peter of Hannover.
In 1943 the Korso Lichtspiele was destroyed by Allied bombs during World War II.
