Forrest “Dinty” Moore launched the World War I-era Liberty Theatre in the summer of 1918. It was a $10,000 wood-framed structure. The Liberty Theatre was the town’s second theatre and it replaced the Grissinger Brothers' Pastime Theatre. As the Liberty Theatre was reaching its tenth year of operation, the theatre got a lobby refresh and would soon convert to sound to stay current.
The wood framed theatre burned down December 17, 1936. Twelve years later, the new Reality Theatre would rise where the Liberty Theatre once stood. It opened December 23, 1948. (It has its own page on Cinema Treasures).
