Opened on 23rd June 2013 with “The Thing”. The screen was carved out of a large snowdrift on the western end of the green store at the Casey Base in the Australian Antarctic Territory. The boats that supply the bases in the Australian Antartic Territory leave from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Other screenings unknown? Second cinema in Antarctica.
