Panania Star Theatre opened on 30th April 1952 with Robert Ryan in “Inferno” and Jeanne Crain in “City of Bad Men”. It was the ‘sister’ cinema to the Padstow Star Cinema. Closed on 20th November 1964 with Hayley Mills in “The Moonspinners” and Don Knotts in “The Ghost & Mr Chicken”. The building was then used for two years from 1965 as a warehouse factory(Inglis Electrix). In 1967 the building was bought and converted into a church(St Christopher’s Church).
