The 1912 Sanborn shows an unnamed ‘picture show’ operating in a 2-story brick building just off the corner. This building was built at least as early as 1894 as the Shriver Building. By 1906 it was a drugstore with an Odd Fellows hall on the second floor. No other tenants are shown on the 1912 map.
This theatre may have been the Casino Theatre. Internet postings suggest a Casino Theatre opened in 1910 at 103 E North, but the 1912 map shows that building as a restaurant with a studio above. Assuming the poster had the wrong address, this theatre closed in 1932.
The bay on the second floor has been removed and the hole covered with sheet metal. A very ugly storefront has been installed, and the building no longer has an entry. The ground floor appears to belong to the store on the corner.
