Located on S. 2nd Street, between E. Hickory Street and E. Walnut Street. Built in 1872 as the Harmony Hall for the Mankato Harmonic Association, a German singing society. Around 1878, the Hall was remodeled and reopened as the Mankato Opera House. Fire damaged the building January 23, 1882. Reopened in December of 1883 as a theater, remodeled again in 1893 and renamed Mankato Theatre. Converted to a movie house in 1921 and renamed Orpheum Theater. Survived as a second rated movie house until finally closing in 1928.
