The Nordlicht Theater was opened in 1953 and was operated by Erbengemeinschaft Ph. Paul. The architect was Hanns Ruttgers who was based in Dusseldorf. The stage measures 15 x 8 x 8 meters. The B 6 projectors were by Bauer and the 4-channel stereophonic sound system was by Klangfilm. The cinema closed around 1971.
By 1992 it was in use as a Rewe supermarket and later in 2012 it was a store.
