The Jerry Lewis Cinema in Meadowbrook Plaza was announced in 1971. The theater was another franchised, automated theatre for the Jerry Lewis Cinemas chain whose franchisee opened another Jerry Lewis operation in Hopewell. The Meadowbrook Plaza cinema launched on November 24, 1972 with Tom Laughlin in “Billy Jack.” The 350-seat theatre opened as its parent company, Network Cinema Corp., were in free fall heading towards bankruptcy. It was renamed Meadowbrook Plaza Cinema, but was short lived as the theatre struggled to find its audience before closing on May 14, 1975 with Mike Mazurki in “Challenge to Be Free”.

The space was retrofitted for other purposes.
